Sooooo...I have just found out that...according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission at http://outdoornebraska.ne.gov/ my little urban lake will be stocked with Rainbows come October 9th...
I am SOOOOOO FREAKING THERE!!!! Now...as suprising as this may sound...I have never caught a rainbow trout. Soooo...I am looking forward to doing this ON October 9th LOL :) Annnnd...don't worry...I will definitely shoot a picture or two next time!!!

Well Lizzy several plans....I will be in NE or driving through it Oct 15th....and I have left twitter...you will be missed however I have you on here..:) and as far as fall plans...work...fish...work...fish...fish...work lol
ReplyDeleteSometimes stocked trout are a little lethargic as soon as they're stocked, and sometimes they're ravenous. Gotta try and see which it will be - just don't give up if they're close-mouthed. Sometimes takes a day or 2 for them to adapt to the new water
ReplyDeleteAlready hitting the fall trout. Matter of fact, my youngest son caught his first on yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to warmer days in late Oct/Nov/Early Dec to hit up small farm ponds, for big slow moving bass. I've caught the biggest bass I've ever caught in Nov/Early Dec on days where we were hunting morning and night, but fishing during the day.
