It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year...

And NOPE...I am NOT talking about Christmas!! I am talking about this time of year when the snow has melted, the sun is shining more and more, and it's getting warmer. As "The Fisherbabe-an avid angler", this time of year is full of hopes and dreams. Dreams of fishing trips that are soon to occur or that I would love to go on someday, and hopes that I catch a fish of a lifetime this year. Although I tend to have the type of thinking that leads me to believe that EVERY fish I catch is special, one can't help but hope for that elusive 52 inch spring Pike or her major first MONSTER Bass in many years!!!!

I am so excited this week because I am heading down to see my mom. She and I are going fishing for Bass and Cats while I am home. I am packing up my rods and heading to the river, to ponds, and to any other body of water I can see while I am down there. The truth of the matter is this...winter was long, spring is here, and at this point, I would wet my line in a freaking ditch if I thought there was something swimming in it!!! LOL :)

So this will be my first fishing trip of the year!!! I hope to be able to load down my blog with pictures of me holding some lovely bass and maybe a cat or two!!! I really hope I DON'T catch either a snake or a gator...LOL :) I loved fishing with my mom growing up on the Arkansas River...the delta is a GREAT place for lovely, lazy days of fishing. I can't wait to pack a lunch, throw in my poles, sit down on the shore, chat with mommy, and reel in that Monster BASS!!!

Thanks to all who completed my census!!! I learned that there are A LOT of readers from lots of places who all stop by. I LOVE THAT MOST ABOUT BLOGGING!!! It is lovely to see all these great people sharing my interest in fishing!!!
